In 1998, after the death of a local schoolteacher, several leaders in our community came to the realization that there was nowhere for domestic violence victims to turn to in Kernersville. They recognized that there were people in our own area who didn’t have a safe place to rest their head. With that in mind, Next Step Ministries was created. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization with the mission of providing refuge, advocacy and education to survivors of domestic violence and the broader community.
